AI - Opinion, bullshit, and food for thought

So, artificial intelligence seems destined to change the world.

We certainly agree that it is a very powerful, revolutionary tool, as the advent of social media was at the time.

Several years later, can we say with certainty that the aforementioned social media have been positive for humanity?

Well here everyone will have their opinion, and everyone will be convinced that they see things in the right way, in short, that's fine, but we can agree on a diplomatic "yes and no".

The development of the internet has been very positive, the advent and development of platforms (as well as LinkedIn itself) has been positive, but social media specifically, well in short, it simply seems to me that it has brought even more numbness to the brain of people.

"But they have been positive for connecting the world, the process of globalization, etc., etc.", but are we really so sure that all this was useful, that it was really necessary?

Similar discussions could open up on artificial intelligence, in the end it always depends on who uses it, and with what purpose, and, considering how the world turns nowadays, it is difficult for me to see anything positive around the theme of "who uses what, how"

Certainly whoever lives will see what will happen in this regard, and what aberrations the human race will be capable of extracting from something generally positive, interesting, revolutionary, in a sense.

As a creative person, I cannot help but be struck by the possibilities of AI: creating images, almost always coherent, from the words of a text, a sentence, a song, creating and reproducing sounds, faces, special effects, and so on and so forth.
Of course, the fear is that, as time progresses, artificial intelligence will make many jobs obsolete, starting from the creative field. Motion designers, video editors, artistic directors, technical experts in everything that revolves around the field of digitalized images, are interested categories, as are certainly many others.

It would be wonderful, useful and also sensible to integrate the artificial intelligence tool into the work of certain categories, helping them, providing new creative ideas and simply implementing and improving their work, optimizing it or making it more effective, rather than replacing it completely.

So far it is a very interesting tool, yet to be explored, full of possibilities, but unfortunately, in the future, I only see it creating enormous damage to society, or I see it used by the usual cursed regimes, to encourage the creation of new methods for conduct strange and useless hybrid wars and other such idiocies, or completely alienate humanity with all its pop-porn stimuli.

From riches to rags, just look at the clever funny great ideas of Mark Zuckerberg, or "X" of Elon Musk, a simply pitiful thing, from a character who has evidently suffered a brain sprain, since time immemorial now. The cultural poverty they promote, conspiracies, flat earthers, bullshit and bullshit, is the distressing truth.

I really hope that artificial intelligence can have a different destiny, because on paper, it can really be an incredible tool, and it could be used to do many beautiful things.

Honestly, I have low expectations about it.

Greetings and happy new year, people of the web.

  1. I party agree but it is clear that all technological innovations bring with them curiosity, enthusiasm but also distrust and fear. The benefits of AI in some industries are notable.
For example in the medical field since it can help in diagnosis and treatment and i believe that even for creative people it can integrate their work making it even more exciting and immaginative. It is clear that limits must be set.
Limits are not just useless barriers but often mean common sense and balance.
